We Source, Roast, & Serve Coffee with the Planet in Mind.
Our Goal is to offer our authentic, freshly roasted coffee while promoting a no-waste environment in our community. We want to create a comfortable atmosphere where our guests can relax, enjoy our coffee, and join us in this movement that encourages a more sustainable way of living...after all, we deserve it.
How Are We No Waste?
-
90% Zero Plastic
We are currently operating at 90% Zero Plastic. In order to do this we have carefully chosen vendors that only offer compostable materials and have partnered with local vendors for our pastries and tea who instead of wrapping pastries in seran wrap or package the tea in plastic bag, we instead provide them with reusable containers for them to fill and swap empty ones.
-
Jars instead of to-go cups
We have completely eliminated disposable to-go cups. Instead we encourage customers to bring in their own mug/tumbler and in return we give them .50 off. We also offer all customers our to-go Jars for a small deposit. Hot jars have cloth sleeves that we have made from leftover fabrics that are either donated or picked up from local fabric shops.
-
Food Cycling & Composting
In house we use a Lomi Food Cycler that allows us to create ZERO foodwaste at the end of the day. It transforms all our foodwaste into easily compostable powder, and also has a feature to turn it into plantable soil. We also donate all used coffee grounds to locals and community gardens.
-
Plant trees to offset our carbon footprint
We are trying to lower our carbon footprint more and more every day, but in order to completely offset our footprint we have partnered with One Tree Planted.
-
Upcycle
The owner, Patricia, believes that there are plenty of diamonds in the rough when it comes to furniture, equipment, and mugs. Therefore, almost every thing in our shops were hand picked from thrift stores, estate sales, and facebook marketplace.
-
Eliminate Single Use Items
We do not offer any single use items in our shops. We use Jars instead of to-go cups, we use cloth napkins instead of paper napkins, our to-go containers are actually cloth wraps that customers can bring back if they'd like but its no extra charge. We give our community major props with this one because they are the reason we can do this. They support us 100% and even bring in their own to-go containers!
